Seattle-Tacoma Airport

EVgo supported the addition of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) as a destination along the West Coast Electric Highway with the completion of two (2) fast charging EV stations. Completed in September 2019, the EVgo 50kW DC fast chargers in the Sea-Tac Airport Cell Phone Lot serve an important link in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure network in Western Washington.

Transportation electrification is an important component of the Sea-Tac Airport’s emission reduction and climate program, and WSDOT expects that Sea-Tac Airport will likely be one of the most popular charging locations in the state.

The EVgo stations were made possible through a public-private partnership between the Port of Seattle, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), EVgo, and Forth. WSDOT’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Partnerships Program (EVIPP) provided a grant to incentivize the investment of charging stations in six communities along I-5. Sea-Tac Airport is the fifth of six EVgo fast charging locations to open as part of this project.
